About me

My name is Vanesa and I have resided in sunny Cape Coral, Florida since the spring of 2006. I am married to my high school crush from Maryland and together we have four daughters that range in age from 21-13. Escaping the cold and snow-filled winter indefinitely, we have settled in and made Florida the place we now call home.

I am a current graduate from FSW. After finishing the prerequisites for the nursing program and the courses for the Human Health Services program I finished the Addiction Services program and graduated with my AA and a CCC in May of 2019. Like the stereotype for women, I just couldn’t make up my mind! Now that my mind is made up, I am on my way to becoming an Neurondocrinologist. My fascination of the human brain is why I chose this educational path. Neuroendocrinology will combine both fields of interest; a little bit of science of medicine mixed with a little bit of science of the mind and behavior.

Back in 2009 I enrolled in courses for cake decorating. Since then I have been improving my skills in advanced techniques to provide custom created art using various cake mediums. Like most artists, I need an escape where I can be free to express my own creativity as well as bringing other people’s imagination to life.

Ideally this blog will serve as an extension for my cakes. Yet, I have decided to leave some of my previous and future coursework for college up and encourage you to explore the world of Humanities, Sustainability, as well as cake related material.
